Today is day 9
Saturday- Date Night
Today we did something different. We went to the Virginia Renaissance Faire. It was really fun! Michael had never been before and we just went with no expectations and to see what we could see. (many pictures, but it was too many fun things not to show.)

FYI
Just know that IF you get a hair braid and therefore
can't wear the hat you had brought to protect your head from sunburn,
remember to add sunblock to your new part...
Or you might get a
SUN BURN...

After the faire we came home, picked up the pup at school, and I started to cook dinner.
Dinner was a bit of an issue tonight. I started cooking a cheese spaghetti squash casserole that is one of our FAVORITES! All the squash was cooked and the cheese mixture was made, but when went into get the chicken, I don't know why I did this, but I checked the date. It was past! GRRR. I was really bummed for having to toss a pack of chicken and having nothing to do with HALF of my dinner I just cooked! I had to chuck it in freezer dishes and move on.
How proud I was for saving money, for planning meals in advance, not wasting money on last minute ingredients, and no impulse shopping. SO ok, I go for the beef pack to make taco salad instead.
GET THIS, I have a funny feeling that I should check the date just in case... EXPIRED, like the day after I bought it!
I didn't check or got messed up in my math or something! SO a chicken pack and a beef pack TOSSED in one night WHILE cooking.
So we went with meal choice number 3. It was an easy Italian inspired dinner. Green Bean Lasagna. Sounds weird, but we both really LOVED it. It will totally hit the spot when were craving baked cheesy Italian.
(update on cool hair braid)
But it still looks good the next day
