Today was fun. We hopped over and got gas and coffee in Michigan.
Then we drove to BGSU (Bowling Green State University) I have always wanted to see it in person. My junior year I had two roommates from there and Michaels parents also both went there. ALSO The famous figure skater, and my personal favorite, Scott Hamilton went there. I have been hearing about BG for years :) Today was the BIG DAY I finally got to see it for my self.
The school seal is off the main quad in a wooded area beautifully landscaped. The legend is that if you kiss your sweetheart at the seal you will "Seal the Deal" and be together forever. In 1970 Michaels parents stood at the seal and kissed, this year is their 40th wedding anniversary. When Michael was a little boy his mom showed him the seal and told him that one day he could kiss his sweetheart there too. Today we did.
This is where Michael's dad asked his mom to marry him on campus at BGSU. Still there :) though now it is a bank not a Dairy Queen, which moved next door.
