Day Five

Today was a LONG DAY. Penny had a tummy ache and kept us up till 2am and up again at 6am. We then had a 7 hour drive, with a slight detour into Montana.  We got back on the freeway after collecting our all important state sign, we start driving up up up a mountain road in Bighorn National Forest.
We get ALLLL the way to the top and Road Closed return to highway. Well bummer! It was a delay that cost us 50 miles and my FIRST EVER speeding ticket. It was a rough day. 

This map is not entirely accurate. We drove up into Montana, and also drove around to the south of the national Forest which added more miles than we had anticipated. All in all it was about a 3 hours of extra time.

This is one of the MANY road closed sign they have here. Guess what, even if it's the ONLY way to where you want to go, or is THE MAIN highway, it can still be closed! As we found out.

We got into the hotel at 10pm.
