I have not forgotten you!

Hello my friends,
As I sit here watching the NCAA National championship I am persuaded to take a few moments to update…. But at this point update may be a bit of a misnomer.
I cant believe its already the end of March Madness,
after Easter,
after the Disney 5k,
after Chritmas,
and Michael only has two weeks of school left,
and our lease is up in a month and half!!!
IT WAS JUST OCTOBER (Go Giants)

SO to recap why I went silent 6 months ago,
I was doing pretty well, my mom had come for my birthday in November (you may recall)  and the next week Michaels Mom came to visit too!
Then Michael's Dad came out and we all went to DC to see the Wizards play the Cavilers and see King Lebron James. It was quite an experience, my first NBA game.

The next day Michael and I left to drive to Ohio for Thanksgiving. We drove the first day through West Virginia and stayed that night in Charlston. I was feeling tired but not bad. The next day we drove 4 hours to the family in Ohio. We got to the hotel and I was just exhausted but didn’t have time to rest before a family birthday party. We came in I greeted the family, started looking at the menu and started to get a headache. By the end of the meal I was SURE I was getting a severe migrane.

IF ONLY….

That night about midnight I realized I was seriously sick. By 3am I had already thrown up about 6 times and if you know me, I NEVER throw up. In fact, the last time I had was February 20, 2000, (yes I do remember, cause it is SO RARE I DO remember the day!) and now Thanksgiving 2014 I was soooo sick. Michael called his cousin at 3am and she drove us to the hospital as I was getting worse. It was snowing and I had a fever (also unheard of for me) of 104. I was a sick puppy. LONG story short we were in and out and back in then back out of the ER that day. Family graciously gave up their family holiday to chauffeur us through blizzard like snow from hospital to hotel and back and sitting in the ER with us for HOURS.

The next day I was not much better and still had a fever. It was very clear I would not be able to drive us home to Virginia the next day and Michael HAD to get back for a presentations . We had to send out a 911 to Michaels dad to come rescue us. He came without one word of complaint and the moment he arrived my dear sweet Michael came down with the sickness as well…. Poor us! L
Michael didn’t get it nearly as bad as I. He was basically over it in a day and a half and back to normal for school on Monday. I was so ill that I slept the ENTIRE drive home.

We had to fly my mom back out to Virginia to come take care of me as Michael was in midterms and very busy with tests, papers, and projects.

After a week of mommy TLC I was recovering well. But I was so weak and tired for WEEKS after. Just as soon as I was really getting well I got bronchitis, sinus infection, and double ear infections… SERIOUSLY?!?! WTH! By now it’s the week we are supposed to go back to Cal for Christmas. I have never taken narcotics before flying before, but my cough meds were VERY strong… Made the flight lovely! lol I slept the Whole way.
