My DEAREST readers,
It has been brought to my attention that I have not blogged in quite some time. I do apologise! I was feeling a bit discouraged at my lack of readership/comments so I let it fall away for a bit. BUT This very day I have had two people ask me why I have not written lately. SO, here we go again!
Day .....who knows...
Michael started school this week! He LOVES it and knows hes in the exact right place. I guess he updated his linkedin page and a whole bunch of people he hasn't spoken to in ages have emailed him asking him why he isn't in California anymore lol. See, if they read the blog they'd know LOL!
Penny is doing better over all, less anxiety about people walking about around the car and house. She still doesn't like deliveries though. Our UPS lady thinks its hilarious how Penny acts every time she knocks on the door. :-/ Goofy dog.
Michaels parents were out for a week and we had a blast. We finished putting up our wedding photos on the wall and got Mikes office all decorated ready for school.
Then we went to visit Mikey's aunt and uncle in DC for a couple days. We went to a Washington Mystics (WNBA in DC) game (As Mikeys Uncle is the PA announcer for some of the games) It was a BLAST! I've never been to a women's sporting event before. It was quite impressive.
The next night we went to a Washington Nationals game. That was REALLY fun too! They have a great park. ALL the seats in the place have awesome views.
Michael was stressing about what internship (sorry,,,,, "Graduate Assistantship") cause you have to have one for school. His first choice was to work for VCU Men's basketball. BUT that already has 7 intern..excuse me.... "Graduate Assistants" for this year. and besides being the 8th pawn he wouldn't make much of a personal mark. Kinda just be a kogg in the machine. He was looking online and, I don't quite remember how he found it, but found a really cool school called Richard Bland. Its a 2 year, BUT its a live-On-Campus school and guarantees its grads an acceptance to William and Mary. They don't have to go there, but they can if they want. Mikey emailed the Basketball coach (who is also the Head of the Athletic department) and asked to be his Graduate Assistant.
The Coach called him back the next morning (Coach was on vacation at the time, and thought Mikey was worth calling back that fast!!) They had an interview and Mikey got the job. Its really great. We call the school "The Bland" and they are just starting their athletic department up again after budget cuts had killed the department for like 20 years. Mikey can SERIOUSLY help them there and make an HONEST difference. His marketing experience is really paying off now. His professors at VCU think its a good position too. SWEET!
thanks for reading ya'll
